Big Sister, Little Brother
Alright, so I know its been forever since I've posted anything on here but I vow to do better. With so many family members in different places we (or I) figured it was the best way to keep in touch with everyone! So in March we found out that we were expecting another baby! Yes, some may call us crazy but we're excited to see what the future holds. They should be about 1 1/2 apart, which I think will be just perfect. The pregnancy was going just fine... the first thing Brian asked the doctor was how many babies do you see? One has been the answer from the start. No morning sickness this time.... I just all around felt different and was hoping this pregnancy would take a different path. We found out around 13 weeks that Briley Kate was going to have a LITTLE BROTHER! We were thrilled!!! From 16 weeks I started going to the doctor every week for a progesterone shot and a cervical length measurement. Since we weren't sure if cervical incompetence, pre-term labor, or multiple gestation was the cause of the twins early delivery (or a combination of all three) our doctor decided to be hypervigilant and stay on top of things. All was well until 23 weeks. I had started having minor sporadic contractions but nothing painful or regular so they had just been monitoring. But 23 week apt revealed some cervical changes and increased contractions. So Bed rest it was. We'll do anything to keep our little man tucked safely inside for many weeks to come but its been much tougher this time with BK running to the bed every 5 mins crying for me to play with her. God will sustain us though... He has provided thus far and we've just about made it to 25 weeks. I'm a true believer in miracles and see one everytime I look at Briley Kate. Please pray for this little guy and our family as we navigate this somewhat familiar territory.
